Louisa O'Keane

Louisa was born in Dublin, Ireland to two lovely parents and a feisty big brother.   She grew up in Burlington, Ontario, and now resides in Grimsby.   She fell in love with musical theatre at a very young age and her family encouraged and supported her wholeheartedly throughout the years.   She graduated from the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts and won the Acting Award for the schools triple threat competition.   She journeyed out west in 2002 and fell in love with the Rockies and her amazing hubby Matt.   She spent seven years performing throughout Alberta and British Columbia, camping, hiking and kayaking whenever possible.

Since her move back to Ontario in 2009 she has been very busy performing and taking on new challenges as a writer, choreographer, voice-over artist, and producer.   She is a long time cast member of 'The Oh Canada Eh Dinner Show' in Niagara Falls.   She co-wrote and choreographed several of the companies shows with writing partner and fellow cast mate Melissa Penner.   Together they created the Christmas shows: Mistletoe Magic, Swinging Little Sleigh Ride, It's a Wrap and the very popular children's musical Eh to Zed.

She also enjoys being on set!  Over the past few years Louisa has appeared in several commercials, music videos, short films and web series.  Keep an eye out for her in 'Just Junk' , 'Penn Financial' and 'FACS Niagara' commercials.

Louisa has also worked extensively as Cabaret and Jazz singer.  During her time out west she had the opportunity to perform as a lounge singer at The Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel.   You may have also seen her featured at the The Twilight Jazz Series, Harry's Jazz Bar, Choralis Camerata,  Grimsby Farmers Market,  Mahtay Cafe , Bread and Circus in Toronto and various other concerts and fundraisers.  She loves performing in the Niagara Region with St Catharines funny man Craig Maguire.  Stay tuned for more information on their December 9th Christmas Concert.

As an educator, Louisa has taught Children of all ages music, drama and dance.  She started teaching in 2007 at The Arts Connection in Richmond, BC.   Since then she has worked as a Ballroom and Latin Dance instructor for Future Steps of Burlington,  a guest artist with The Travelling Stage Co and a musical theatre instructor at Grimsby's Fun School of Music!  Most recently, she joined the Little Rebels Music and Development family.  This amazing program was founded by Jen Neales in 2016 in the GTA. Louisa is excited to bring classes to the Niagara Region, Stoney Creek and Burlington.
